2. Description of Service

konsumr is a media tracking platform that allows you to:

• Track your progress on TV shows, movies, and manga
• Maintain a personal watchlist and reading list
• Rate and review media you've consumed
• Create and share public or private lists of media
• View upcoming releases for media you're tracking
• Earn achievements and XP for your tracking activity
• Optionally share your profile publicly and follow other users
• Receive optional Discord notifications for new releases

3. Account Registration

To use konsumr, you must sign in using one of our supported authentication methods: Discord, Google, or email magic link. By signing in, you authorize us to access certain information from your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication accounts. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.

You may link multiple authentication methods to a single konsumr account. Discord authentication is required if you wish to receive release notifications via Discord direct messages.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create on konsumr, including:

• Personal notes on media items
• Ratings and reviews
• Lists you create (including titles, descriptions, and item notes)
• Profile images and banners you upload
• Your tracking data and preferences

By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and store your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

If you choose to make your profile public, your tracking data, ratings, statistics, and public lists may be visible to other users. Individual lists can be set to public or private regardless of your profile visibility setting.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit the Service
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Circumvent any security measures of the Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Adult Content

konsumr provides the ability to search and track manga that may include adult content (18+). By default, adult content is not displayed in search results.

Users who wish to view adult content in search results may enable this option in their profile settings. By enabling this setting, you:

• Confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher)
• Accept responsibility for ensuring that viewing such content is legal in your jurisdiction
• Understand that adult content may include explicit material not suitable for minors

We rely on content classifications provided by AniList. We do not independently verify age ratings and cannot guarantee the accuracy of content classifications.

If you are under 18 years of age, you must not enable the adult content setting. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of the Service.

7. Third-Party Services

konsumr integrates with third-party services to provide media information and authentication:

• TMDB (The Movie Database) — TV show and movie data, including titles, descriptions, posters, and episode information
• AniList — Manga data, including titles, descriptions, and cover images
• Discord — Authentication and optional notification delivery
• Google — Authentication via Google OAuth
• Resend — Email delivery for magic link authentication

We do not control this third-party content and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or availability. Media information (release dates, episode counts, etc.) is provided as-is from these sources.

8. Intellectual Property

The konsumr name, logo, and original software code are our property. Media content (posters, descriptions, etc.) belongs to their respective rights holders and is used under the terms of the respective APIs (TMDB, AniList).

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. This product uses the AniList API but is not affiliated with AniList.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep konsumr available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Maintenance or updates
• Technical issues or outages
• Third-party service disruptions

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for:

• Loss of data or content
• Inaccurate media information from third-party sources
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

konsumr is a free service provided for personal media tracking. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero).

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your tracking data, notes, and uploaded content will be permanently removed.

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in behavior that harms the Service or other users.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
