2. Description of Service

konsumr is a media tracking platform that allows you to:

• Track your progress on TV shows, movies, and manga
• Maintain a personal watchlist and reading list
• Rate media and add personal notes
• Create and share public or private lists of media
• View upcoming releases for media you're tracking
• Earn achievements, XP, and streaks for your tracking activity
• Optionally share your profile publicly, follow other users, and upload photos of your manga collection
• Import your library from AniList, Trakt, or Letterboxd, and export your data
• Receive optional notifications in the app, by email, by iOS push notification, or by Discord direct message
• Add home-screen widgets on iOS showing your upcoming releases and streak

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use konsumr. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. Viewing adult (18+) content requires that you are at least 18 years old, as described in Section 7.

4. Account Registration

To use konsumr, you must sign in using one of our supported authentication methods: Discord, Google, Apple (iOS app only), or email (a magic link on the website, or a one-time code in the App). By signing in, you authorize us to access certain information from your account as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication accounts and email address. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.

You may link multiple authentication methods to a single konsumr account, and accounts sharing the same verified email address are automatically linked. Discord authentication is required if you wish to receive release notifications via Discord direct messages.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you create on konsumr, including:

• Personal notes on media items
• Ratings
• Lists you create (including titles, descriptions, and item notes)
• Profile images and banners you upload
• Collection photos and captions you upload
• Your tracking data and preferences

By using the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and store your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

If you choose to make your profile public, your tracking data, ratings, statistics, followers and following lists, collection photos, and public lists may be visible to other users and visitors. Lists are public by default and can be set to private individually, regardless of your profile visibility setting.

Feedback, content requests, and suggestions you submit may be reviewed by our team and used to improve the Service without any obligation to you.

6. Acceptable Use, Content Standards, and Moderation

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit the Service
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
• Post objectionable content, including content that is hateful, pornographic, violent, defamatory, or infringing, in any user-generated content such as usernames, list titles and descriptions, notes, captions, or uploaded images
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
• Circumvent any security measures of the Service

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We reserve the right to review, remove, or modify any user content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

The Service provides tools to keep your experience safe: you can blockany user (blocking hides you from each other; manage blocked users in Settings > Blocked Users) and report users or lists directly in the Service. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we act on substantiated reports promptly, including removing content and ejecting offending users.

7. Adult Content

konsumr provides the ability to search and track manga that may include adult content (18+). By default, adult content is not displayed in search results.

Users who wish to view adult content in search results may enable this option in their profile settings. By enabling this setting, you:

• Confirm that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher)
• Accept responsibility for ensuring that viewing such content is legal in your jurisdiction
• Understand that adult content may include explicit material not suitable for minors

We rely on content classifications provided by AniList. We do not independently verify age ratings and cannot guarantee the accuracy of content classifications.

If you are under 18 years of age, you must not enable the adult content setting. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of the Service.

8. Third-Party Services and Imports

konsumr integrates with third-party services to provide media information, authentication, and other features:

• TMDB (The Movie Database): TV show and movie data, including titles, descriptions, posters, and episode information
• AniList: Manga and anime data, including titles, descriptions, and cover images. You can also optionally connect your AniList account to import your library and, if you enable sync, authorize konsumr to update your AniList library on your behalf
• Wikipedia, Open Library, and Google Books: Manga volume information and book covers
• Discord: Authentication and optional notification delivery
• Google: Authentication via Google OAuth
• Apple: Sign in with Apple and iOS push notification delivery
• Resend: Email delivery for sign-in and notification emails
• UploadThing: Storage for images you upload

If you import data from third-party services (AniList, Trakt, Letterboxd), you are responsible for having the right to use that data and for its accuracy.

We do not control this third-party content and cannot guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or availability. Media information (release dates, episode counts, etc.) is provided as-is from these sources.

9. Notifications

The Service can send you notifications in the app, by email, by iOS push notification, and by Discord direct message. All notification categories are optional and can be managed in your settings. Sign-in emails (magic links and one-time codes) are transactional and are sent whenever you sign in by email.

10. App License and Apple-Specific Terms

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

The following terms apply if you use the App from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are concluded between you and us, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund any purchase price paid for the App (the App is free, so this amount is zero). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation
• In the event of a third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of such claim
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you

11. Intellectual Property

The konsumr name, logo, and original software code are our property. Media content (posters, descriptions, etc.) belongs to their respective rights holders and is used under the terms of the respective APIs (TMDB, AniList).

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. This product uses the AniList API but is not affiliated with AniList.

12. Service Availability

We strive to keep konsumr available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Maintenance or updates
• Technical issues or outages
• Third-party service disruptions

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.

13. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for:

• Loss of data or content
• Inaccurate media information from third-party sources
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

konsumr is a free service provided for personal media tracking. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero).

14. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time in the App under Settings > General > Delete Account, or by contacting us. Deletion is permanent: your tracking data, notes, lists, uploaded content, follows, and achievements will be removed, and linked sign-in connections (including Sign in with Apple) will be revoked.

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in behavior that harms the Service or other users.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
